MAKES NEWSTALK A PLACE TO REVISIT?
We believe that the essence and strength of NewsTalk is the fact that we are
friends first, debaters second, and from all over the world talking about news
third. Regardless of where you on the topics of day-to-day "news",
this channel is a place that friend and foe can discuss the issues and where one
can exchange ideas, concepts, experiences and opinions.
Here you will be able to find at least one fellow comrade to share your opinions
whether it is about country or politics and even religion. This is what makes us
unique. We are prepared to listen. This does not mean we will agree, but we
firmly believe that everyone has a right to be heard.
These qualities make for some lively, spirited debates, after all we cannot
agree about everything all of the time. But what makes us special is that
however heated the discussion gets we "go home friends".
Although 'news' is the main theme of the room the diversity of topics is immense
and the emphasis is not so much about voicing opinion, but more about meeting
new people, making new friends and in the process have a whole heap of fun.
Individualism and respect echo through our chambers and these theologies are
promoted and reinforced as necessary. Our philosophy is grounded in respect and
individualism and this is reflected in the room itself. We strive towards making
this a place where all feel welcome and a part of the NewsTalk family.

reflect or simply just to socialize. The essence of our philosophy is evident in
